Mike Hanley Wagon Collection – Owyhee County Museum

The Owyhee County Museum in Murphy, Idaho is now home to the remarkable Mike Hanley Wagon Collection. For more than 70 years, Mike Hanley of Jordan Valley, Oregon assembled and restored an extraordinary group of horse-drawn vehicles, including wagons, buggies, stagecoaches, freight wagons, an 1850s Oregon Trail wagon, a Borax wagon, and several historic mud wagons.

Mike donated his entire collection to the Owyhee County Museum, where it is being housed in a new 9,000-square-foot Mike Hanley Wagon Barn. The collection now includes more than 40 wagons, buggies, and stagecoaches and is described by the museum as the largest collection of horse-drawn transportation in the State of Idaho.
